Kapampangan Artist Wins Top Prize in NCC Art Competition

“The Flight of the Dragonfly” by Nick Tayag Reyes wins the Blossoming Futures Art Design Competition. His entry represents New Clark City’s vision for progress, sustainability, and innovation while paying homage to the area’s vibrant diversity.

Other finalists of the art competition include: “The Clark Chrysalis” by Bernard Jerome Barbadillo, Sophia Theresa Collado, Dan Steve Lacosta, Dan Michael Nebrida, and Tiffany Amber Sobredo; “NCC’s Short Story” by Ar. Rex Sicat Jr., Jessie Tadeo Jr., and Edno Joson; “The Link” by Herod Montiel, and “Kara Kara: Weavers of Tomorrow” by Ar. Jeremiah Marco Bildan, Candido Valdez, Jr., Theodore Nicholo Pangan, and Maayan Loren Rubb.

For bagging the top spot in the competition, Reyes takes home PHP 500,000 while the four other finalists win PHP 50,000.

With the theme of “Blossoming Futures: A Showcase of New Clark City’s Innovation and Rich Biodiversity,” the New Clark City Art Design competition aims to highlight the region’s diverse flora and fauna—echoing New Clark City’s bold vision of becoming a creative, inclusive, and sustainable metropolis.
